I am new here on dA, but when I saw this picture, i decided write something here. Just today I reviewed some books from A.Leibovitz,H.Newton, and saw there real masterpieces of BW photography, how to shoot portraits. I am so happy when I see people like you, when 'digital artist' working with old techniques. I have 2 mid-format film cameras at home also, and your work ensured my opinion, sometimes less is more, and old technology is not so bad technology. Its like a good old wine. I can't analyze technical details here..not needed. Just watch this pictures 2-3 minutes, or maybe more...and you should think about everything in your life. Love, happiness. Congratulation, you are very positive impressed me.
I actually just made the switch back to film from digital. I absolutely love my traditional ways and as long as they sell 35mm film I will continue to use it. Really beautiful work on this, love the entire feel of it.
Thank you! I'd encourage everyone to get into film--it's so much more beautiful & evocative, and I'm a firm believer that the tangible practice of working with film makes one a better artist; also, contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take any more time to work with film than it does to work with digital photographs
