Missed Connections is a series I’ve started. It’s really an ongoing project. Periodically I visit the Minnesota metro area chapter of craigslist.com ([link]). There are personal ads, classifieds, jobs, apartments, etc. There is also a link called “missed connections” where people can post if they were out running errands or at a bar or whatever and they saw someone who caught their eye, and they’d like to see them again. This way they can (hopefully) get in touch with each other. People also post if they’ve got something to say to someone they are/were in a relationship with. Some of them are incredibly cheesy, some of them are written by people who are obvious tools, and some of them are beautifully poetic. All of them reflect the human condition. I sift through them now and again and pick out the ones I like (there are about 30 new entries each day) and make cards out of them. I use photographs from other deviants, or photos I took myself. I always obtain permission from artists before using their work. It is meant to be viewed as a series, so look at them all if you can!
